Hubungan Kemandirian Belajar dengan Minat Belajar dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita Matematika Materi Aljabar

Abstract:

Students in the eighth grade at MTs Negeri 1 Lampung Utara continue to struggle with completing algebraic story problems. This condition suggests a connection between student learning interest and elements of learning independence. This study looked at the connection between learning independence and learning interest in solving algebraic story problems. This study employed a quantitative methodology. Using a cluster random sampling technique, all VII grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Lampung Utara served as the study's population, and samples of VIII B grade students were acquired. Questionnaires and observation sheets were utilized to collect data. The Product Moment Correlation test was employed as the hypothesis test. The Liliefors and linearity tests were used to do a normalcy test prior to the hypothesis test. According to the study's findings, H_0 was rejected while H_a was allowed because the computed r_count value of 0.9089>r_table of 0.349. According to the Z test, Z_count = 0.163 and Z_table = -0.98; since Z_count > Z_table, H_a was approved. Thus, it can be said that for eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 North Lampung, learning independence and learning interest in solving mathematical story problems in algebra content are related.
