Sosialisasi Sistem Penyiraman Tanaman Otomatis Berbasis Android dan Internet Of Things (IoT) Pada Desa Sawojajar

Abstract:

Along with the advancement of technology, the agricultural sector in Indonesia, particularly in Sawojajar Village, faces challenges in the efficient use of natural resources, especially water. Manual plant watering, which is still commonly used, is often ineffective and can lead to water wastage. Therefore, technological solutions are needed to optimize resource management in agriculture. One such technology that can be implemented is the Internet of Things (IoT), which enables the monitoring and control of agricultural systems automatically through digital devices, such as android applications. This socialization aims to introduce the IoT-based automatic plant watering system to the community of Sawojajar Village, by providing knowledge about the basic concepts of IoT and its applications in agriculture. The results of this socialization have had a positive impact on the participants. The participants realized the importance of innovation in supporting the advancement of the agricultural sector, improving water efficiency in agriculture, reducing dependence on manual watering, and increasing productivity and sustainability in the village's agriculture
