PEMANFAATAN LINGKUNGAN SOSIAL SEBAGAI MEDIA BELAJAR UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA SD NEGERI KELAS V KOTABUMI UTARA

Abstract:

Social science of learning is learning that relates to the environment around students both at home, at school, and in the community. This research was conducted because it saw the reality in the field that learning outcomes were still low. Learning patterns are still conventional, while student activities only record what is explained by the teacher. Researchers apply a learning method approach by utilizing the social environment and various media so that the learning process is more meaningful and improves learning outcomes by means of self-reflective inquiry or researchers start reflection which is carried out in 3 learning cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action and reflection, and responses to student learning outcomes, which are obtained from peers and become observers during the cycle. The results showed that: (1) in the first cycle student learning activities increased by 30%, then in the second cycle increased again by 60%, finally in the third cycle student activities reached 90%. Likewise, student learning outcomes also increased in the first cycle an average of 61.87%, in the second cycle an average of 67.82 %, and in the third cycle an average of 78.75 %. Thus the social environment directly as much as 78.75%. (2) Through a learning strategy by inviting students to a natural laboratory directly in the environment, it is able to improve learning outcomes. Student activity increased by 60%, in the second cycle, in the third cycle it increased by 90%. The increase in student activity was followed by an average increase of 5.59% in the second cycle, increasing again in the third cycle of 10.93%.
